7 Islands Art & Eco Sanctuary is a purpose built multifunctional facility. We celebrate the satisfaction that comes from artistic endeavour and discovering our creativity. Recognising the importance of art in our lives, our forum includes discussions of ecological sustainability, environmental practices, and connection to place.
Our Philosophy
The most effective techniques for developing critical thinking aim at uniting the intelligence of mind + body. We look to the spirit of play and curious exploration as powerful organisers of learning and growth. The creative relationship between designing, making and using, being and becoming, needs to be strengthened again.
Our Stories
Carin talks in stories, stories of the land, stories of family and place, the need for identity, expression, spirit, beauty, the quest for peace and simplicity. If you sit with him for a while he’ll tell you a story - because there is always a story - carved in words or wood or both. A story of journeys, of people coming together, as his peoples have come together.
